Celestron 21068 Reviews

rated 3 out of 5 Nice telescope.
by Douglas Meadow from Concord, CA USA, 2009-11-22

I bought this telescope to replace my 110 pound cassegrain. It was a chore taking it outside. This scope had a decent aperature and a decent price.
PROS
- Great price. Good for 90mm
- Mounts a Celestron Skyscout.
- Lightweight and easy to travel with.
- In my neighborhood I easily saw Jupiter and Saturn. The moon looks great through the scope.

Cons
- Lots of cheap plastic parts.
- Hard to track an object because when you tighten the locking handle the tripod moves a lot.

Overall I am happy with my purchase. It is great for the occasional weekend peak into the sky.

rated 4 out of 5 Great for beginning star geeks
by Hubble Hugger from Texas/Montana, 2009-11-13

First time was exciting-Saw Jupiter's red spot-Look forward to viewing more when I can get to a darker area. Only one small problem-Altitude lock won't hold on its own in a horizontal position,so as to switch users without re-adjustment. Other than that I love it.
